Dirks Pest Control serves the Collegeville PA area and offers every available Pennsylvania DOA approved method for Spotted Lanternfly Identification and Treatment.
On non-fruit bearing trees with a certain diameter, after they have flowered to protect the Honey Bees, we can utilize a trunk inoculation method (tree injection) to inoculate the tree from future feeding and infestation for up to a year. The treatment can be done during active use of the entire surrounding area and eliminates the need for any additional topical tree insecticide. This Spotted Lanternfly treatment moves through the entire tree and quickly kills actively feeding Spotted Lanternflies to protect your trees from further damage.
On shrubs, younger non-fruit bearing trees and vines where injection risks the health of the tree or vine, we highly recommend the ground injection and root absorption methods. The fallback method is to use a bark spray which is also a safe and effective delivery method with minimal overspray, after the tree has flowered.
